abstract

  • U.S. sugar policies have traditionally come under attack for high domestic support prices. Also, increased foreign competition arising from free trade policies should be of great concern to sugar producers. Empirical results of this project will be useful to sugar farmers, processors, bankers and lenders, agribusiness firms, and policy makers.
