Integrating Biological Control and Prescribed Grazing to Manage Yellow Starthistle on Idaho Rangelands
Grant
Overview
abstract
Management of invasive plant species on fragmented rangelands requires integrated strategies and approaches. Livestock grazing can be used prescriptively to aid in invasive plant management, as can other biological methods using host-specific natural enemies. This project examines application and integration of classical biological control and prescribed grazing to manage yellow starthistle.
