Coordination of Water Quality Programs in the Pacific Northwest
This region consists of 920,600 square miles or 26% of the USA's land area. Within this region are five land grant institutions: Northwest Indian College, Oregon State University, University of Alaska, University of Idaho and Washington State University. Water is considered to be the most important natural resource issue in the region. The purpose of this proposal is to address education, outreach and research on a regional basis in the following high priority water areas: drinking water and human health, watershed management, and water quantity and policy.
