The Economics of Rangeland Management, Improvements and Changes in Land Use Policies Grant uri icon

Overview

abstract

  • New technologies are being developed that could improve net ranch returns. Before adoption, it is important to know whether these strategies will be profitable. Environmental concerns have increased regulation of agricultural production and will lead to more changes in the future. Policy makers, land managers and rangeland user groups need to be aware of potential economic consequences of these policies. This project will evaluate the economics of new and proposed technologies on net ranch returns and evaluate potential economic consequences of new and proposed environmental regulations.
