This project seeks to find ways to enhance farm income through exploration of new uses for farm commodities and use of new technologies to reduce costs. This project will examine the potential of new varieties of rapeseed and/or yellow mustard for use as feedstocks for biodiesel. The project will also investigate the potential of precision farming equipment for reducing production costs in agriculture. It will emphasize evaluation of equipment for calibration, error and adaptability to existing agricultural machinery. It will also explore management strategies for precision farming.
