The Role of Culture in Infant Feeding Practices
Breastfeeding is such a crucial component of a baby's health, it is important that women are amenable to the information they receive. To be effective as a health care provider for these clients, the establishment of a trusting relationship is critical. Cultural differences must be recognized and respected. The current study will address this issue by identifying the cultural beliefs about infant feeding practices that Hispanic women have when they live in their native country and after they immigrate to the United States.
