Immunosuppression by Superantigens: Role in Bovine Mastitis Grant uri icon

Overview

abstract

  • Mastitis is a very costly disease of agriculture. S. aureus is the leading agent. and can be transmitted to raw milk. Investigations into the interaction between S. aureus and the bovine immune response will contribute to prevention of mastitis. This work could help explain the ability of S. aureus to chronically persist in the mammary gland.
