abstract
Potato varieties currently available to the Idaho industry are generally susceptible to many pests and production problems, are heavy users of fertilizer and water, and are inefficient to produce. This research will increase the possibility of producing new varieties by improving of the genetic based, providing eficient selection and evaluation procedures, providing research data that will optimize production practices, and making available sufficient high quality seed.
