Regulation of Fungal Morphogenesis and Multicellular Development
Fungal species have a significant negative impact upon agriculture as plant and animal pathogens, and as agents of food spoilage and toxin production. They also make many important contributions to the fermentation industry and to food production such as the cheese industry. A study of devel-opment in A.n. will contribute valuable insights into the control of aerilly dispersed asexual spores (conidia) and sexually produced spores used for dispersal by both benefical and detrimental fungi.
