Water, Weeds, Forests and Farms: Evaluating and Developing Tools for Community Resource Planning and Management in Idaho
Grant
Overview
abstract
Idaho rural communities have historically been dependent on resource-based economies, and can be vulnerable as economic and policy shifts are implemented. Rural communities are adapting in various ways, including the use of cooperative strategies. Research is needed to understand fledgling cooperative efforts and help improve them. This project will identify differences between different models of collaboration, and determine the impact of key differences on social and environmental outcomes.
