Sprout and Disease Control of Potatoes in Storage
Grant
Overview
abstract
The quality and volume of potatoes can be substantially lowered if proper storage practices are not employed. Two major components of managing potato quality in storage are effective sprout inhibition and disease control. Unfortunately for the latter, there is a paucity of post-harvest chemicals available. These studies evaluate alternative sprout suppressants, post-harvest disease control products and their application methodologies for commercial application in the industry.
