abstract

  • During early pregnancy, it is imperative for the embryo to block PGF2alpha secretion from the endometrium of the uterus for the pregnancy to be maintained. The embryonic signal(s) that blocks secretion of PGF2alpha from the endometrium during early pregnancy in the mare has not been identified. The specific aim of this project is to determine the identity of the product(s) the equine embryo secretes that blocks PGF2alpha secretion from the endometrium.
