Identification of the Anti-luteolytic Mechanism of Maternal Recognition of Pregnancy in the Mare Grant uri icon

  • During early pregnancy, it is imperative for the embryo to block PGF2alpha secretion from the endometrium of the uterus for the pregnancy to be maintained. The embryonic signal(s) that blocks secretion of PGF2alpha from the endometrium during early pregnancy in the mare has not been identified.
