Structure, Conduct, and Performance of Agricultural and Food Industries in Idaho and Pacific Northwest
As a part of the global economy, agriculture and agribusiness of the State of Idaho and the PNW have been significantly affected by the structural changes taking place in the food supply chain. These changes have a profound impact on the decision-making process of the food chain participants, as well as on the government policies directed towards agriculture and agribusiness. The project focuses on the analysis of various problems relating to the food chain participants and their respective industries economic performance in this complex environment. Some of the issues to be analyzed are the economic performance of the food manufacturing and distribution and their impact on agricultural production; contractual relationships in the food supply chain; and economic performance of the individual industries.
