Overview

abstract

  • The proposed work will contribute to our understanding of how plant species vary in their population dynamics among plant communities and how that contributes to the dispersal process. In addition, once we understand the communities that serve as sources of population increase, we can target those communities for control, removing the source of new populations. The approach would provide an additional strategy to combat invasions, adding source and sink relationships to further management that previously solely relied on control of satellite populations as a first priority.
