Overview

abstract

  • Every year Idaho farmers, ranchers and farm workers are affected by accidents, illnesses or changing health. These conditions can greatly affect the person's ability to perform work and as a result they are faced with some hard questions, such as whether or not to continue in Ag and if so how to continue and what help is available. The purpose of this project is created to assist people with disabilities employed in agriculture. The project will use the expertise of Idaho Extension, The Idaho Assistive Technology Project with United Cerebral Palsey of Idaho to provide direct assistance to farmers and ranchers with disabilities and to help train disability professionals to better serve persons who work in agriculture in Idaho.
