Seasonal Changes in Water Use Across Forest Stands of Differing Age and Height at the Priest River Experimental Forest Grant uri icon

Overview

abstract

  • It is the long-term goal of this research to assess and model carbon assimilation in forests. In addition, we are applying recently developed techniques in stable isotope analysis to characterize the dynamic nature of assimilated carbon pools. This research will lead to a more integrated, mechanistically based assessment of the dynamics of plant water use and tree productivity that can be applied to a variety of climatic and forest conditions.
