  • PAG Report 9 | Published 1993 | Several methods are available to quantify the amount of instream flow for recreation purposes. Justifiable quantification is needed during the legislatively established appropriation process. A survey questionnaire incorporating quantification methods from the scientific literature was developed and administered to those experienced in quantifying instream flows for recreation. Surveys of experts and surveys of users were found to be the most widely used and most reliable methods.
