Thesis
Overview
abstract
Thesis (D.A.T., Movement & Leisure Sciences) -- University of Idaho, 2016 | The dissertation is the capstone project in the Doctor of Athletic Training program. This scholarly examination of a topic of clinical interest includes manuscripts that are immediately applicable for clinicians. A thorough review of the literature on concussion assessment methods is the basis for a two-part manuscript on evidence-based best practices for concussion assessment tools commonly used by athletic trainers. A manuscript describing original research on the reliability of the method of establishing a baseline score for the King-Devick Test® for concussion is further evidence of scholarly practice.
