Charles Dainoff’s research areas include the processes by which states become tax havens, and the effect those tax havens have on the behavior of transnational violent non-state actors such as terrorist groups and organized crime syndicates, as well as the ways in which tax havens enable dictators to become kleptocrats. Prior to joining the faculty at Idaho, he was a visiting instructor at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati.
