Dr. Aidin Namin is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Idaho. A modeler by training and passion, Dr. Namin received his PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas. Applying quantitative and econometrics techniques, his research interests are pricing, seasonal goods, digital marketing, and search for automobiles. Dr. Namin has received both research and teaching awards from different institutions. He is the recipient of the Junior Faculty Award from the Western Decision Sciences Institute, the Fellowship Award for Established Record of Excellence in Research from the University of Idaho, and the Innovation, Impact, and Outreach Grant again from the University of Idaho. Aidin has also received a Teaching Award as the Ph.D. Student Teacher of the Year from the University of Texas at Dallas. He has developed and taught the Marketing Analytics course at the University of Idaho both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research is published in academic journals including Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and Management Science Letters. He has presented his work in conferences such as Marketing Science and the American Marketing Association (AMA). He has served as a reviewer and session chair for journals and conferences including Journal of Business Research and the AMA conference. Prior to starting the PhD program, Aidin worked in the industry as a Data Analyst for 3 years and as a Market Researcher for over a year.
