- Claire Murphy
Claire Murphy, a proud choral and band student growing up, has over twenty years of experience in teaching music, from elementary to university students, in Florida, Idaho, and North Carolina.
Originally from North Carolina, Claire has founded and developed numerous school, community, and church choirs and her students consistently were selected to participate in state honor choirs and festivals. In higher education, she has served as an adjunct professor for East Carolina University, Barton College, and the University of Idaho. Her interests include pre-service preparation, curriculum design and integration, diverse learners, advocacy, and children’s voices. Claire was the Conductor of the Greenville Choral Society Children’s Chorus and is presently the Conductor of the Palouse Choral Society Children’s Choir. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in vocal performance and music education from East Carolina University.
