The Idaho Engineering Works (IEWorks) is a group of faculty and graduate students that work to foster an environment that induces people to develop personally, professionally and technically. Personal development areas emphasize team forming, human dynamics, peer mentoring, engineering leadership, creativity and innovation. Professional development areas include solid modeling, CNC operations, and project planning. Curriculum development include laboratory equipment development (NSF proposal.) Technical development projects via NIATT include a hybrid bicycle design, wheel chair designs for trail use (NCIIA proposal), and design and fabrication support for FutureTruck, clean snowmobile, and SAE mini-Formula 1 competitions.
