Roberto Capecci Lecturer of Landscape of Architecture

Positions

Roberto Capecci is a landscape designer and teacher in landscape architecture. Since 2000 he is member of the Land-I archicolture, co-founded with Raffaella Sini and Marco Antonini. In Singapore, he has been design director at the landscape architecture firm Salad Dressing.

He is a faculty adjunct member at the Landscape Architecture program of the University of Idaho (since 2016), and Washington State University (since 2021). Roberto has been lecturer in landscape architecture at Singapore’s Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts from 2012 to 2016.

Roberto’s pedagogy and scholarship reflect his professional practice as designer. His focus is on Conceptual Landscape Design exploring the narrow space between Art, Architecture and Landscape. Led by the need to discover, understand and reinterpret the identity of places, his research and practice uses an artistic approach as medium to translate concepts into spaces that talk about the uniqueness of a specific context. In design studios, he explores with students experimental approaches in design with landscape installations and temporary urbanism, community collaborations and service-learning projects.
