Matt Christensen Affiliate Faculty


Mr. Christensen has practiced law in the State of Idaho since 2005. Currently, his practice focuses primarily on civil litigation involving real property, business and bankruptcy related matters.  Mr. Christensen also has a transactional practice involving real estate and business matters (including franchising).

Mr. Christensen obtained his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Brigham Young University, graduating in 2002.  Mr. Christensen then earned both Juris Doctor and LL.M. (International and Comparative Law) degrees in 2005 from Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.  While at Duke, Mr. Christensen was an Article Editor for the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy.

Mr. Christensen is an active member of the Idaho State Bar, currently serving as a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law and Real Property Sections and as a board member of the Business and Corporate Law Section.

Prior to joining Angstman, Johnson & Associates in 2008, Mr. Christensen developed his own law practice, both as a solo practitioner, and as a Junior Partner at a Meridian, Idaho law firm.

In addition to being a practicing lawyer and adjunct professor, Mr. Christensen frequently teaches continuing legal education courses for attorneys, and frequently writes for the Advocate, the Idaho State Bar journal.

Mr. Christensen and his wife, Meshelle, married in 1998. They have five children – three girls and two boys.
