The focus of this research is to develop a laminate point stress analysis for high performance composite materials. Two special variations of this program will also be developed. First, genetic algorithms will be incorporated to obtain an analytical program useful in the design process. Transportation related components such as composite material pressure vessels, drive shafts, and general prismatic structural members will be included. Also, we will include a fiber volume gradient analysis for use in troubleshooting springback problems in composite structures. This analysis will be coded such that material input is rapid and follows the standard laminate stacking.
