Jinchao C Yuan Research Associate Professor


Jinchao Yuan is an Associate Research Professor at the College of Art and Architecture Integrated Design Lab. He is interested in innovative thermal science applications in building energy and environment control systems to achieve high performance with minimal environment impacts. His research expertise includes building thermal modeling and characterization, building ventilation, air distribution, Indoor Air Quality, and energy efficiency. Jinchao received his Ph.D. degree in Building Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Master of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining University of Idaho, he had years of experiences in national and international sustainable design and energy efficiency projects, and instrument Research & Development experiences in the oil and gas industry.
